The new city car of Nissan March sold well and the sales booking is very high. Although this new car will be manufactured in November 2010, many consumers are willing to wait. Even during the auto show, IIMS 2010 held at July 23 to August 1, Nissan March has already reached 300 units of sales orders. According Mrs. Dinne Musu, Public Relations Manager of PT. Nissan Motor Indonesia, it is anticipated that demand. Therefore Nissan Indonesia has spreading the questionnaire to customers about the Nissan March during auto show to know how national auto market wants.

For this questionnaire, Nissan asking two important questions, namely about the color choice and type of transmission that is desired by the customer. And the result of survey state those 75% respondents choose the automatic transmission. While the color choices said that the largest choice is white with 33%, 27% black and 18% silver.

Strong demand of this new car from this customer is a unique phenomenon, because Nissan Indonesia still has not determined the retail price of Nissan March. According to Dinne Musu, the management of Nissan Indonesia still calculates the correct price for the new city car.

During the auto show IIMS 2010, excluding sales demand for Nissan March, total consumer demand for Nissan cars reach 1048 units. Nissan Livina family of Grand Livina, Livina XR, and Livina X-Gear provides the largest contribution. The sales figures reached 69% of the total demand for Nissan. The rest are Nissan Serena with 18%, SUV X-Trail (11%) and 2% are Nissan Teana & Frontier Navara.

In the segment of city car/hatchback, Nissan March will compete with Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz, Suzuki Swift, Ford Fiesta dan Mazda2.

Mercedes Cars Sales Increase 51 Percent in Year 2010

Luxury car market in Indonesia continues to grow and Mercedes-Benz has confirmed himself as the leader of the luxury car market in Indonesia today. Based on information obtained by the Indonesia-Cars.com, the total sales of Mercedes cars in national auto market in the period January to July 2010 have reached 2230 units. The achievement was up 51 percent compared with same period last year, 1475 units.

With the high sales of Mercedes-Benz is the leading luxury car market with a 68.6 percent market share. Sales of luxury cars of Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Volvo and Jaguar, achieving total sales of 3150 units in 2010, up 50 percent compared to 2175 units the previous year 2009.

After the Mercedes in the ranking of one, the other Germany car, BMW is ranked second with 21.5 percent or the total sales of 685 units. Meanwhile, Lexus is in third place with sales of 230 units.

Of all cars marketed by Mercedes-Benz, best-selling car is the E-Class sedan with total sales of 820 units, up 28 percent from 647 units last year. C-Class sedan to dominate the medium-luxury segments 74.1 percent. C-Class sales have reached 749 units.
S-Class assigned to the portion of 74.5 percent. These model sales grew 113 percent to 281 units. Another model which is marketed by Mercedes-Benz is B-Class with 48 units, 18 units of M-Class, 16 units of the R-Class and 6 units of GL-Class. In addition to passenger cars, Mercedes-Benz luxury buses also markets from January to July has sold 436 units or an increase of 64 percent from the previous year, 266 units.
Many automotive analysts say that the national car market in Indonesia is expected to reach 700,000 units in 2010. Therefore, Indonesia will become a very important market in Southeast Asia.

Idul Fitri holidays (Lebaran) will soon be arriving, as in previous years PT Nissan Motor Indonesia provides special services during the Idul Fitri holiday 2010. These services form the Nissan Rest Point (NRP), Nissan’s Service Mobile and 24Hours Workshop along the route of “going hometown”.

Teddy Irawan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing Director of Nissan Indonesia said that their focus is the customer. 24 Hours Workshop and Nissan Rest Point (NRP) is one concrete manifestation of Nissan attention to the customer. This service provides a safe and comfortable feeling to the owners of Nissan cars during the Idul Fitri holiday and who travel back and forth to his hometown.

NRP Command Post (Posko Mudik Nissan) located at six points back and forth path, namely to NRP 1 at Rest Area KM57 – Jakarta – Cikampek highway; NRP 2 in Nagrek – Bandung (RM Nasi Liwet Asep Stroberi); NRP 3 at Rest Area KM 26 Toll Kanci (the direction of Cirebon); NRP 4 in Alas Roban (RM Luwes Asli); NRP 5 Telaga Warna – Puncak Pass Bogor; and NRP 6 Caruban (RM Saradan Asri).

Post-post NRP 1 to 4 will be fully operational for 24 hours starting on September 4 to 11 (eight days), while the NRP 5 and 6 of Post Telaga Warna and Caruban on September 6 to 13 (eight days).

In addition to the six post Nissan Rest Point, NMI also prepared 24 Hours Workshop scattered in Greater Jakarta (7 workshops), Java (7 workshops), Bali (one workshop), Sumatra (7 workshops) and Sulawesi (2 workshop). During the holidays, these car garages will continue to operate under normal business hours on September 8 to 9 and 13 to 14 September 2010. Special on the day of the Idul Fitri all Nissan car garages closed.

Nissan also provide standby services that are mobile (moving technician) at seven points around the island of Java with support for total of seven units of the Nissan NP300 Service Car and two technicians in each unit.

Nissan mobile alert service (NMS: Nissan Mobil Siaga) is operating in Pamanukan (Cikampek until Cirebon), Tegal (Kanci Cirebon route to Pemalang / Prupuk), Purwokerto (Prupuk until Kebumen / Karang Puncung), Ciamis (Tasikmalaya path until Karangpucung), Bakauheuni (Bakauheuni path until Lampung), Lasem (Kudus path until Lamongan), and Pasir Putih (Pasuruan path until Ketapang).

Teddy also said that the Nissan’s Mobile Siaga assists Nissan car owners who experience problems with their vehicles at the coast line, operates 24 hours from 4 September to 13 September 2010. Nissan co-working with Telkomsel to service this NMS and for users of Telkomsel card, jus dial to 2323 to contact the technician NMS.
