Sole distributor Mazda in Indonesia introduced 2 models of Mazda SUV that New Mazda CX-7 and New Mazda CX-9 together. Placed at XXI Lounge Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, by Tuesday, October 22, 2009, officially launch the sport lifestyle SUV that imported CBU from Japan.

New Mazda CX-7 is available in 2 variants that R-type and GT-type. This Sport Utility Vehicle is using 2.3-litre engine has able to produce maximum power up to 238 PS / 5.000 rpm and maximum torque of 350 Nm / 2.500 rpm. The engine equipped by DISI Turbo that Direct Injection Ignition Spark and Turbocharger technology.
The New CX-7 has change in exterior that bigger front bumper with chrome grille, new design of fog lamp, new sporty wheel, and new rear bumper with reflector.
In interior, this car also has some features that new design in dashboard, instrument panel, center facia, steering wheel, and door trim.
New Mazda CX-7 is use automatic transmission of 4X2 wheel drive while formerly using 4X4 all wheel drive. the on the road price of New Mazda CX-7 are Rp. 520 million of R-type and Rp. 580 million of GT-type for Jakarta area.

New Mazda CX-9 is using 3,700 cc petrol engine with V6, DOHC, 24 valve, Sequential Valve Timing has able to produce max. power 277 PS / 6,250 rpm and max. torque 367 Nm / 4.250 rpm. The facelift of previous models are new design of door mirror, new headlamp with Xenon, new rear lamp, and trapezium tail muffler. Meanwhile in interior is only center facia has new design.
Interior has two colors option that black and sand beige. Meanwhile the color of exterior has 5 options that crystal white pearl mica, sparkling black mica, copper red mica, radiant ebony mica, and aluminium metallic.
Off the road price of the New Mazda CX-9 is Rp. 800 million.
If we look back car history of this SUV, since introduced in year 2007 up to September 2009, Mazda CX-7 has books 285 units’ sales while Mazda CX-9 has records 150 units’ sales in accordance to data of Mazda Car Sales.
