FMI has started countdown to launch 2010-New Ford Fiesta

Sole distributor of Ford cars in Indonesia, PT. FMI (PT. Ford Motor Indonesia) conducted the event of “Fiesta Media Kick Off” by Friday (Dec 11, ’09) at FX Senayan Jakarta. In this event FMI state they plan to release 2010-New Ford Fiesta on beginning July 2010. With the present of new car, Ford hope to gained sales volume and market share in national auto market.
Ford Fiesta that marketed to Indonesia auto market has produced at Auto Alliance Thailand factory that also produced Mazda2. In Medium City Car segment, Ford Fiesta will compete with Honda All New Jazz, Toyota New Yaris, Suzuki Swift, Daihatsu Sirion, Hyundai i20, and new comer of Mazda2. FMI still not release the price of Fiesta yet but claim the price will be slightly below the market leader of Honda Jazz. Nevertheless, the features offered will be much more complete.
Ford Fiesta is a hatchback with a 1500 cc engine and low fuel consumption. The design of Ford Fiesta called the Kinetic Design has best aerodynamic to minimize noise, body vibration, and increase fuel efficiency. The appearance of this hatchback looks sportier with sporty grille, headlamp with wrap-around form, a strong body lines, sporty wheel rim, and will be available in unique color diversity. Meanwhile, interior of this hatchback has chrome-colored trim, ergonomic dashboard, easy to use panel instrument, voice control for audio, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Currently the biggest contributor to Ford cars sales is Ford Ranger and FMI hope the present of Fiesta will become a backbone of Ford sales in year 2010. Fiesta was first introduced in Germany in October of 2008 and worldwide sales have reached 500 thousand units until October 2009. In Europe alone, Fiesta became the best-selling car number 2 after the VW Golf.
