Despite 4X4 trucks market decreased to 18% of sales in 2008 which amounted to 13,900 units, market demand for this vehicle model remains high. In the last year 2009, sales of car types 4×4 trucks / pick up, either single or double cabin reached 11,451 units or contributes 2.3% of the national auto sales. Although the international auto market, 4X4 pick up types are included in the commercial vehicle category, not the case in Indonesia.
Consumer car in Indonesia is unique, kind of 4X4 trucks – double cabs are more widely used for the purposes of on-road, such as shopping, escorting school children, or attend a party. So some kind of car maker to enter 4X4 double cabs this truck to passenger car segment. In national auto market, 4X4 trucks double cabs are not only used for off-road purposes such as in mines or plantations alone, so dressed in a variety of accessories and appear more tough, luxurious and elegant.
