Daihatsu is ranked 2nd national auto market in 2009

In the year 2009, PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor managed to rise to the 2 position of national auto market with retail sales of 75,169 units, but sales are down 2,294 units or 3% compared with 2008 sales last year recorded 77,463 units. For the month of December 2009 alone Daihatsu sales booked for 7,866 units and reached 15.4% market share of the national auto market.

Daihatsu Xenia is a flagship product Daihatsu low-MPV class, still the largest contribution to sales of Daihatsu in Indonesia. Examples, such as the new car of Xenia Automatic, book sales by 284 units during the year 2009. While, until December alone sales figures Daihatsu Xenia succeed sales to 41,487 units, with market share gains by 25.8% in Low MPV segment. The other product of Daihatsu in MPV segment, Luxio was successfully achieved total sales of 4,582 units throughout the year 2009.

The flagship of Daihatsu SUV, the Terios also recorded very good sales in the year 2009, with booked sales of 12,112 units and managed to gain a market share of 45.8% in Medium SUV segment. In December alone Daihatsu Terios successfully sold more than 1,202 units. Meanwhile, other Daihatsu products play in the commercial segment; Gran Max recorded sales of 1,616 units in December and totally, from January to December 2009 has sold up to 16,325 units and achieved a market share of 35.7%.
