Kia release 4 new cars to National Auto Market in year 2010

In last year 2009, KIA cars sales achievements throughout Indonesia-national auto market record 3,195 units sales. Base on this sales figure sole distributor of Kia cars in Indonesia, PT. Kia Mobil Indonesia (PT. KMI) optimistic to increasing sales target to 5600 units or 175% from last year. This optimistic target refer to last three months sales of Kia cars has reached four hundred units per months.

To achieve these sales targets in year 2010, PT. Kia Mobil Indonesia runs a few numbers of marketing strategies. Besides remains to spreading auto dealers network to penetrate national auto market and increasing cars sales, PT. KMI also plan to release sveral new cars and product developments. In mid of this year, July 2010 at 18th Indonesia International Motor Show 2010, KMI will launch Kia Soul (hatchback) and Kia Forte (small sedan). While the model of improvement that will be displayed again is the New Kia Pride (hatchback) and New Kia Rio (sedan).

Kia New Pride and Kia New Rio are already enhanced with more fresh appearance is scheduled sliding in the first half of this year, May or June 2010. Kia New Pride still use the 1.4-litre engine that similar with current product, but has improvement so fuel consumption more efficient. Meanwhile, the New Kia Rio still we projected for the taxi market is increasingly promising. Kia New Rio still using 1.5-litre engine that has durability, low fuel consumption, and now more fresh look. Even New Kia Rio presented for taxi market, PT. KMI are still allowed to serve private market, but with higher prices.

Two new cars are expected released to national auto market is the Kia Soul and Kia Forte. Kia Soul that has shown in 17th Indonesia International Motor Show 2009 will available in 1.6-litre engine, manual and automatic type. This hatchback crossover will compete with Suzuki SX-4, Nissan Livina X-Gear, Toyota Rush, and Daihatsu Terios in medium SUV.

Meanwhile the other new car of Kia Forte will enliven the competition in the small sedan segment and dealing with the Toyota Corolla Altis, Honda New Civic, and Chevrolet Cruze. Kia Forte is an excellent Kia sedan with entirely new design. The design of Kia Forte is more fresh, modern and sporty. This small sedan has two-options engine that 1.6-litre petrol engine and 2.0-litre petrol engine.

PT. Kia Mobil Indonesia expecing these new cars will contribute big sales and compete with others existing models, such as Kia Picanto (city car), Kia Travello, Pregio and Big Up. We’ll see!
