Peugeot 207 lastly came back outfitted after three years present in national auto market. By today, Tuesday – 25 February 2010, PT. Astra International – Peugeot Sales Operation as sole agents (ATPM = “Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merk”) of Peugeot cars in Indonesia has officially introduced the New Peugeot 207.

This new car was given name “The New Peugeot 207 2Tronic” since armed a new technologies of “2Tronic”. This technology of 2Tronic basically is manual transmission equipped with clutch control and control gear shifts.

So that the transmission lever is an indicator of R(everse), N(eutral), A(utomatic), and M(anual). Positions R(everse), N(eutral), and A(utomatic), channel is placed in line. Meanwhile the position of M(annual) are in the left of A(utomatic) position. By this arrangement the gear-shift can be operated manually in a dual mode; Manual Mode or Automatic Mode.

With this technology so this Europe car will have a manual transmission but a typical ease of automatic, so comfortable and easy to drive in the traffic jam conditions in Jakarta or other big city.

This Europe car has similar dimension with previous model of overall length 4030 mm, width 1720 mm, and height 1472 mm. Meanwhile, engine specif action of this hatchback was 1.4-liter engine that able to produce 108 horsepower and maximum torque to 133 Nm @ 3250 rpm.

In exterior appearance, the New Peugeot 207 2Tronic has new design on front grille radiator, front fog lamps, sport rear bumper and rear lamps, and modern-style 15-inch alloy wheel. In interior appearance, this new car already has a soft-comfort leather seats, new center fascia, white instrument cluster to looks more stylish, modern, and sporty.

This Europe car has high-safety level equipment and already equipped with ABS, EBD, BA, Dual Airbag, Immobilizer, Pedestrian Protection, and Safety Belt with Pretensioner. With all of this safety features completeness, it is not surprising if this new car including the safe-car in the world and get Five Star of Euro-NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) for addult occupant protection.

In national auto market, the New Peugeot 207 compete with Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Mazda2, and other market player in city car segment.
