In last March-2010, PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor as the sole distributor of Daihatsu cars remains record sales figures are encouraging. Daihatsu cars managed to record sales of 8,538 units or 13.5 percent of total national car sales which amounted to 63,500 units. Although this means that the market share of Daihatsu declined from the previous month, but the number of unit sales, this figure increased by 6.6 percent.
As the previous article, the data Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (GAIKINDO) said that sales of Daihatsu throughout February reached 8,008 units, an increase of 7.5 compared to January of 7,933 units. This means throughout first three months of 2010, Daihatsu managed to sell 24,479 units of the car.
On the day Wednesday, April 21, 2010, Mrs. Amelia Tjandra, Marketing Director of PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor said that PT. ADM remains optimistic facing the automotive market in the year 2010, although the national auto market conditions facing many challenges.
Total cars sales of Daihatsu in the month of March, Daihatsu Xenia still the best selling model with sales of 4,580 units, followed by GranMax of 2,155 units. In the third sequence, a variant of Medium SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) Daihatsu Terios having recorded sales of 1,294 units. While the family car in low-MPV class, Daihatsu Luxio and city car of Sirion , each reported sales of 458 units and 51 units.
