Most of cars maker is not increasing price list in June 2009. They checked the rise in prices. The strengthening of Indonesian Rupiah against to US Dollar has not forced cars maker to increase their price any more. In October 2008, the Indonesian Rupiah is at a value of Rp. 12,000 per US 1 Dollar. Whilst in May 2009 the value is at Rp 10,000 per US 1 Dollar.
After price increasing in April 2009, PT. Toyota Astra Motor doesn’t increasing their price any more. The price range of Toyota Avanza is from Rp. 132,100,000 (type 1.3E MT) until to Rp. Rp. 168,400,000 (type 1.5 S AT). Same price with price list in April 2009. Whereas in fact, PT. Toyota Astra Motor increasing their price five times since October 2008. In September 2008, Toyota Avanza price is Rp. 112,400,000 and different with April 2009 price are Rp. 20 million.
Even, PT. Honda Prospect Motor, sole agent Honda cars in Indonesia, is not increasing their price. The latest of price increasing by Honda are in April 2009. Honda New CRV is still sells in same price with April price. The price range of Honda New CRV is from IDR 342 Mills up to IDR 379 Mills.
