Isuzu Astra Motor cut the price of Isuzu D-Max Pick Up

Sole distributor of Isuzu Cars in Indonesia, PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) cutting the price of Isuzu D-Max until Rp 50.7 million by end of May 2009. Despite cutting the price, the specification is not change or “spec down”. The prevailing price for Isuzu D-Max Double Cabin in this time is Rp. 297 million, decrease 8% from Rp. 322.7 million. Meanwhile, Isuzu D-Max Rodeo decrease Rp. 50.7 million (13%) from Rp. 375.7 million to Rp. 325 million.

Decreasing of retail price has happened since Isuzu succeeded in cutting the supply chain. Previously, the supply chain is by five party, Isuzu Motor Thailand, Isuzu Thailand, Mitsubishi Corp., Isuzu Motor Indonesia, and Isuzu Astra Sales Opr. Despite, the cars imported from Thailand, they use Bath Thailand and Yen Japan for cost calculation. In this time, the supply chain only by three party, and for exchange rate only use Yen Japan.

The decreasing of retail price make D-Max compete with others such as Mitsubishi L200 Strada, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Mazda BT50 in Double Cabin and Pick Up Segment. D-Max available in three variants : Single Cabin, Double Cabin and Rodeo Double Cabin LS. Its use 3.0 liter diesel engine with turbo intercooler and produce maximum power 130PS/3,800 rpm with maximum torque 280Nm/2,000 rpm. All of them use four wheel drive as drive train (4X4).

Rodeo LS variants equipped with AntiSkid Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). Also has Dual Airbag for driver and passenger. Rodeo LS use 245/70R16 tyre and aluminium wheel.
