Honda delivers 340 units FREED since launch by June 29, 2009!

After launch by June 29, 2009, Honda Freed already delivered 340 units to dealers (wholesales). Whereas only 2 days! It’s completed Honda cars sales in June 2009 to become 2,630 units. Total Honda cars sale in January up to June 2009 period was 15,254 units.
Marketing & After Sales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), Mr. Jonfis Fandy believes that Honda Freed will contributes to Honda cars sales in Indonesia, as big as Honda All New Jazz (Medium City Car) and Honda New CRV (High SUV). In this time, Honda Freed already books 2,688 sales booking, and targeted 6,000 units’ sales in year 2009. Despite Honda Freed release later than competitors such as, Toyota Avanza, Toyota Kijang Innova, and Nissan Grand Livina, PT. HPM indeed Honda Freed could be accepting in Indonesia auto market, especially in Multi Purpose Vehicle segment.
In June 2009, the biggest contributor to Honda cars sales is still Honda All New Jazz. The 5 Star safety cars achiever by Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) and the 6 Star achiever by Japan New Car Assessment Program books 1,032 units sales. A total All New Jazz sale in 1st semester 2009 is 7,450 units or 49% from total Honda Cars sales.
Honda New CRV sold 870 units in June 2009. Its mean a total Honda New CRV sale in 1st semester is contribute 34% (5,164 units). Even some competitors penetrate market with release new models, Honda New CRV still as market leader in Medium SUV segment. In this segment, Honda New CRV sharing market with Suzuki Grand Vitara, Nissan X-Trail, Toyota Fortuner, and new comer Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and New Ford Everest.
Honda All New City, a market leader in Mini Sedan segment delivered 215 units and total sales in 2009 is 1,288 units. Beside All New City, Honda has market leader in Sedan segment are Honda All New Civic (Small Sedan) and Honda New Accord (Medium Sedan).
