Indonesia Cars Sales in June 09 is increase 10% from May sales. The June ‘09 cars sales have book 39,568 units and total 2009 cars sales (period January ~ June) was 210,245 units, decreased -28% from 292,635 units in same period last year. In May 2009 alone total cars sales booked 35,819 units.
A June cars sale is highest in this year. And if we look month by month, cars sales in Indonesia show positive trends. January 09 cars sales is 31,623 units, February 09 is 34,506 units, March 34,125 units, April 34,604 units, May 35,819 units, and June 39,568 units. Japanese cars maker still dominates Indonesia auto industry. The big Eight are Toyota 79,029 units (37.6%), Daihatsu 34,511 units (16.4%), Mitsubishi 27,213 units (13%), Suzuki 20,751 units (10%), Honda 15,254 units (7.3%), Nissan 9,156 units (4.4%), Isuzu 7,420 units (3.5%), and Hino 5,584 units (2.7%). In rank 9 is American brand, Ford with 2,253 units’ sales (1.1%) and Mercedes in rank 10 with 1,580 units (0.8%).

GAIKINDO (Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia), an Indonesia Automotive Association, optimist and predict the cars sales will increase more and the target about 430,000 units sales in year 2009 will achieve. With 17th Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2009 will be held on July 24 until August 2, 2009 and Ramadhan and Hari Raya Lebaran (Aug & Sep ‘09), the sales of cars will increase more and more.
