Toyota Cars Sales exceeds 18,000 units in August 2009

Toyota cars sales in August 2009 reached the highest records that 18,403 units and remains Toyota as the leader in the Indonesian automotive market. This sales number is the highest sales figures during the year 2009 and increasing 4% from July sales. Toyota Avanza is still as biggest contribution with 8,992 unit sales followed by Kijang Innova 3,788 unit sales.
In medium city car segment, A Groovy Car for Young, New Toyota Yaris managed to record sales of 893 units, while the number of sales booking books 1,010 units. The sales of New Toyota Yaris always had a positive trend since launch in March 2009. Toyota Yaris firstly introduced in year 2006 and available in six variants that priced at Rp. 155,7 million up to Rp. 207.45 million. In Medium City Car segment, Toyota Yaris compete with Honda All New Jazz, Suzuki Swift, Nissan Livina XR, and Hyundai i20.
In High Sedan Segment, Toyota New Camry successfully booked sales of 89 units in August and highest than competitors (Honda Accord & Nissan Teana). Since launch in July 2009, Toyota New Camry, a Lounge on the Wheel, show the positive trend of demands while the sales booking of this car books 417 units in August.
In the SUV segment, Toyota Rush also has increased sales by 6% with successful sales record in August of 1,616 units of 1,522 units in last month. While Toyota Fortuner 4 × 2 achieved sales of 818 units and Fortuner 4X4 books 48 units sales.
