Daihatsu Sirion targeted 1000 units sold in 2010

Sole Distributor of Daihatsu cars in Indonesia, PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor increases the target of Sirion to 1,000 unit’s sales in year 2010. Until the end of November, retail sales of Sirion reached 635 units, while the target until the end of December 2009 is 700 units. This means that sales targets Daihatsu Sirion in the next year rose by about 40%.

In class of Medium City Car, Sirion have to fight with market leaders such as the Toyota New Yaris, Honda All New Jazz, Suzuki Swift, and the Nissan Livina XR. In addition, competition in hatchback market is getting tighter and higher in the presence of Hyundai i20, New Chevrolet Aveo, and the Mazda2 has just launched in last November.

FMI has started countdown to launch 2010-New Ford Fiesta

Sole distributor of Ford cars in Indonesia, PT. FMI (PT. Ford Motor Indonesia) conducted the event of “Fiesta Media Kick Off” by Friday (Dec 11, ’09) at FX Senayan Jakarta. In this event FMI state they plan to release 2010-New Ford Fiesta on beginning July 2010. With the present of new car, Ford hope to gained sales volume and market share in national auto market.

Toyota Yaris beat Honda Jazz, sold 1,033 units and reached 43.5% in July ’09. Toyota Yaris sales in July are the highest in this year and 44% higher than June sales which only reached 716 units. This means the first time Toyota Yaris sold more than a thousand units cars. The total sales of Toyota Yaris in this year, from January to July amounted to 3,336 units and make his position to remain on the 2nd position in Medium City Car Segment with 21.6% market share.
