Vice President of Indonesia, Mr. Boedioo has inaugurated the Hino plant expansion in the industrial area of Bukit Indah City – Purwakarta, West Java on Thursday, December 17, 2009. With this expansion, PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) now has a factory area of 53 thousand square meters with a total area of 120 thousand square meters.

Mitsubishi car sales in Indonesia increased 42% to 87,524 units in the January – December 2008 period compared to the same period in 2007 when sales stood at 61,547 units. With the sales achievement, Mitsubishi controlled 14.4% of the Indonesia auto market and ranked second after Toyota (34.8%).

Mitsubishi Colt Diesel still as a biggest contributor with 47% (41,000 units) to total Mitsubishi cars sales in 2008. And the second biggest contributor is Mitsubishi pick up (T120ss, L300, and L200) with sales 31,745 units or 36% from total sales.

Mitsubishi Colt Diesel, as known as “Si Kepala Kuning”, a famous and the legendary truck in Indonesia, still dominate light truck segment (category II) with 60% market share. Sales volume of light truck segment in year 2008 is 67,825 units.

In year 2008, PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian (PT. KTB), sole agent of Mitsubishi in Indonesia, launch new models of passenger cars to build and develop brand image. There are 7 (seven) new models have been launch to Indonesia auto market in 2008, i.e: Grandis GLS, Grandis GT, Strada Triton Exceed M/T, Strada Triton Exceed A/T, Pajero, Lancer Evolution and Lancer EX 2.0 GT. It’s proven PT. KTB take seriously about Mitsubishi passenger cars commitment and existence in Indonesia auto market.
