Honda cars sales targeted to 47 thousand units in year 2010

PT. Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) as sole distributor of Honda cars remain optimistic in this year 2010. After announcing a recall to repair in Indonesia over the production of Honda City 2007 to 2008, HPM announced a target of 47 thousand units cars sales in this tiger year. This target up 16% compared to 2009 last year which had recorded a sales of 39,570 units. Three line-up of Honda Jazz, CR-V and Freed will return to spearhead the Honda cars sales.
Honda New Odyssey
Last year, in 2009 Honda All New Jazz scored sales of 15,713 units with over 48% hatchback segment (Yaris, Swift, Mazda2, Sirion, and others). Followed by the Honda CRV with sales of 10,110 units or 34% of High SUV segment and the Honda Freed is growing phenomenally with 8,900 units (14% of Medium MPV) within 6 months of sales since its release in June 2009. Toyota Avanza remain as Best Selling Cars in 2009

Toyota Avanza is invincible and remains as a best-selling car in 2009. During the year 2009, from January to December Toyota Avanza able to record 100,065 unit sales for all models and types. Its means that Toyota Avanza dominates over 21% share of the national auto market, or 28% of the total passenger car sales in Indonesia. Total auto sales in Indonesia has books 486,061 units in year 2009 and 354,040 units are passenger cars while 132,021 units are commercial vehicle.
Toyota Avanza | Best Selling Car
Besides Avanza, Toyota’s brand strength in the national auto market is also demonstrated by the success of Toyota Kijang Innova and Toyota Rush as one of the best-selling car. Toyota Kijang Innova is a market leader in the Medium MPV segment and sold at a price range 180 million to 300 million, managed 36K units sold. While the Toyota Rush, one of the major players in the Medium SUV segment is also ranked 6th best-selling car list with sales of units 13,000.
Apparently, the market demand is also enjoyed by Daihatsu Xenia, which is a twin models from Toyota Avanza. Read more…

Honda Jazz Fit Club won Indonesia Most Recommended Consumer Community 2009

Honda Jazz Fit Club, one of the largest communities of Honda Jazz users in Indonesia, was elected as one of the best communities in Indonesia. This community won Indonesia Most Recommended Consumer Community 2009 after reaching meet the 7 parameters measured in the survey for this award that conducted by SWA magazine (Indonesian economic weekly magazine).
Honda Jazz and Fit Club
The survey was conducted during the month of September 2009 to 213 professionals in marketing field (public relation, brand activation, and promotions) and served as manager, general manager and director. They were asked to give a score of 7 variables from the communities that they know with the scale of 1 to 10.
The seven variables include solidarity, the benefits for members, environmental concerns and social, competent in field, willingness to accept new things, open to new things like technology, ideas, marketing, knowledge, ability to cooperate, and contribute to the brand. Read more…

PT Geely Motor Indonesia plan to launch Geely Sedan MK-2 on Dec 16, 2009

The China automaker Geely International Corp. through sole distributor in Indonesia that PT Geely Motor Indonesia plan to launch Geely Sedan MK-2 on Dec 16, 2009. The Geely Sedan that import by China with CKD form (Completely Knock Down) and then assembly at PT. Gaya Motor (Astra subsidiaries) in Sunter Jakarta, will sell by the priced about Rp. 100 million ($ 10K).

PT Geely Motor Indonesia claimed that it has a data requests and orders from customer in Indonesia. Through a network of dealers who have had, Geely plans to open a sales network in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Sumatra, Bali and Kalimantan. Toyota Avanza is still as Best Selling Cars in October 2009

Based on latest data received Indonesia-Cars.com, the sales of cars in Indonesia, both of passenger cars and commercial vehicles from sole distributors to dealers during October 2009 reaching 52,230 units. With this addition, total whole sales for 10 months of 2009 have reached 389,700 units. With these achievements, the members of Gaikindo (Indonesia Automotive Association) estimates that car sales this year range from 450K to 470K units will be achieved. The reason is, when the remaining two months; the car makers are only selling 80,000 units or 40,000 units per month.
Meanwhile, the biggest segment in national auto market is MPV model. MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), a car with two boxes-posture controlled about 60% of national auto market. Toyota Avanza is still remaining as best selling car with 81,417 units sales in this year while in October alone this car sales 9,693 units. Since firstly introduced in year 2004, Toyota Avanza was successfully marketed and, until now, is the leading model within the Indonesian auto market. Read more…

Finally Toyota Avanza release 1.3 G Automatic variant before Daihatsu Xenia AT present. By today (17 Nov ’09) and placed at Four Season Hotel Jakarta, PT. Toyota Astra Motor officially introduced Avanza 1.3 G AT variant. Meanwhile Astra Daihatsu Motor as sole distributor of Daihatsu cars in Indonesia plan to launch Xenia automatic variant by tomorrow (18 Nov ’09).
New Toyota Avanza
The new variant of Toyota Avanza 1.3 G AT has not different specification or feature with current model except only the transmission type. Equipped by same engine with manual type, this new car has maximum power until 92 PS @ 6,000 rpm and maximum torque up to 12.2 kgm @ 4,400 rpm. This engine is K3-VE 1,298 cc with 16 Valves DOHC and Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. This new car has fuel tank that able to fulfill 45 liter gasoline and the fuel consumption is more efficient claimed by Toyota engineering during internal testing, while usually automatic version is always more wasteful than the manual.

Honda ranks highest in Indonesia Sales Satisfaction Survey

President Director of Honda Prospect Motor, Mr. Yukihiro Aoshima said Honda just achieve award from JD Power as the highest ranks in Sales Satisfaction Index 2009. This Sales Satisfaction achievement more supplement Honda goals to provide the highest customer satisfaction, both in the product, sales, to after sales.
Survey of Sales Satisfaction Index that conduct by JD Power Asia Pacific has measure some factor of customer satisfaction based on sales performance during the purchase of new cars and experience in the car delivery. There are seven factors i.e.: delivery process, delivery timing, deal, dealer’s facility, sales person, paperwork and the sales initiation.
