Daihatsu cars sales increasing 16% market share

Despite total industry volume of Indonesia auto industry has been decrease due 2008-economic crisis impact, Daihatsu succed to increasing market share to 16% from 12% of last year. Refer to wholesales data has received, Daihatsu succes to deliver 68,948 units throughout year 2009. This sales volume is amount of delivery car from distributor to its dealers while retailsales or delivery car from dealer to customer books 67,303 units in year 2009.
Daihatsu Xenia, a best selling MPV from PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor still as biggest contributor to total Daihatsu cars sales. The retailsales of Xenia reaches 4,322 unit’s in November 2009 and totally books 36,981 units in this year. 51% of Xenia sales is 1.3MT Xi type and the rest are Li and Mi type sales. With the launching of Xenia Automatic transmission type, Xenia contribute 55% to total cars sales of Daihatsu in year 2009.

Daihatsu Xenia Automatic Transmission coming soon!

Despite Daihatsu Xenia available in two engine variant, the 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter engine, since it was launched in 2004, this car had only one option that is manual transmission. And although many customers are asking about the automatic variant, PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor still not intend to issue AT variants.
Toyota Avanza, a similar model that sold by Toyota provide automatic variant for the type S-1.5-litre while even before PT. Toyota Astra Motor also provides a variant version of the 1.3-litre engine.
