Honda Freed’s Sales Continue to Rise

PT Honda Prospect Motor as sole distributor of Honda cars in Indonesia is now beginning to rely on the Honda Freed as one contributor to their sales. Since this family car launch in June 2009 until April 2010, the Honda Freed has reached sales of 16,495 units. This figure is 13,231 of them in the national car market and other units of 3,264 results exported to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
Mr. Jonfis Fandy, Marketing & After Sales Service Director of PT. Honda Prospect Motor said Honda Freed into the phenomenon itself. Only this family car Freed model really new but consistent record sales of over 1000 units each month.
In the year 2010, sales of Honda Freed reached 4,331 units with a market share of 13% in the MPV segment. In April alone, wholesales of Honda Freed have books 1,080 units. Freed is also shown by the acceptance of the award as “Car of the Year 2010″ from OTOMOTIF magazine and “Debut Model of the Year” from Frost & Sullivan’s.
In total, Honda cars sales up in April 2010 have been recorded as many as 18,519 units with a 7.7% market share. Honda remains the largest contributor came from the famous hatchback All New Honda Jazz in the April and then sold as many as 2,008 units or an increase of 22% compared to the march 2010. In the SUV class, the New CR-V, recorded sales of 1,571 units, while new car, the All New Honda Odyssey which was launched in early May and has sold 25 units.
In the sedan segment, the three leading models of Honda reported total sales of 470 units. The figure consists of the All New Honda City as much as 255 units, the new Honda Civic of 80 units and the Honda Accord sold 135.
